Just you coming around renews me! What a gift.

Ah, Ramana, my sulking is but one aspect of Maya. In my illusory culture, the issues covered in this post are matters that we are dealing with in a somewhat awkward manner. I respect all those attempts which are sincere - and are not dedicated to the violation or squelching of the beliefs of others. That leaves me a good deal of room for disrespect on many fronts, I fear, but it also puts upon me the obligation to examine things which many so sincerely believe, my own divergent beliefs included.

I found the revelation this week interesting that Donald Rumsfeld made sure to put Biblical references in all his military briefings and communiques to George Bush. Thus we complete the two-sided coin flipped for 9/11 and both sides are different aspects of Holy War. The mind set that my post is referring to - and, again, which grows from personal reflection upon quite recent events in my own world - has the danger of fostering this approach to the world's issues. Alas, there must be a comfort in finding the world's issues as absolutes and simple confrontations of good and evil, but it is one no longer available to me.

My beliefs are probably closer to yours than to traditional Western cultural views regarding reality and creation, but I was born into this Western culture and see it as my assigned outpost for commentary and action...in this life. But, when a philosopher from India who shares a love of Pickles appears... why that can only be permission extended by God to spread my wings and laugh!

Bikehikebabe, by saying that I am not a little bit evil, are you suggesting that I am a much bigger evil? I am hurt. And about Grannymar, ask one of her toyboys before you conclude anything about her.

<abbr><em>rummuser’s last blog post..<a href="http://rummuser.com/?p=1239" rel="nofollow">The Great Philosopher.</a></em></abbr>

I take that back. Mother Teresa, my husband, Jean, Ramana, Conrad & Grannymar aren't a little bit evil. (Grannymar PRETENDS to be with her Toyboys.)

My blind faith is blind. I can't see any Adam & Eve in a garden of Eden. I don't think the world is going to come to an end (Revelations) because we are evil. ( We are all a little bit evil.)

Conrad, you are sulking! Never fear my friend, I shall comment come hell or high water. In this case, 'Pralaya', our high water, rather than Noah's, may be appropriate!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pralaya

I am afraid that I am one of those whose ideas on this subject differ from both creationists and evolutionalists. I belong to that school says that creation is Maya!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_(illusion)

The two of us and some other friends must get together and discuss this matter over some coffee. Perhaps using wooden spoons to stir our coffees.

Incidentally, you stole my thunder and I doff my topi to you for having done so. I wanted to use the same Pickles cartoon in one of my blogs. Great minds think alike I think.

Grannymar, I do believe you are right. I have faith that you are right, lol.

Thanks for commenting on this post - kept me from being skunked! That's OK, though, sometimes you put something up that grows out of a real situation and don't worry about how people will take it. It is just something that you think should be said.
