About This Site

I think that blogs always reflect the inner workings of their authors, so it is natural that my blog be somewhat eclectic, concerned with issues that make us human.  Every time I think I can get away with it, I will throw in something of an egghead nature.  None of that will matter if you don’t know how to navigate the blog, though.

Navigation

The header, in case you haven’t noticed yet, is a dynamic header.  Each of the pictures slides to full width as you pass your mouse over it and a click on the picture takes you to the category it represents.  It is also possible to navigate to different categories by using the category listing in the sidebar on the left.

Tags are represented in the cloud format and the larger the name, the more entries assigned to that tag.

There is a Home link that you can always use to go back to the opening presentation of the blog.

Viewpoints

The reason there are so many categorizations and that there are so many ways to get to or filter by them is that this blog looks at the universe through several somewhat consistent lenses.  They are designed to focus:

  • Across generations.
  • Across genders.
  • Across cultures if possible.
  • Across geography.

These focuses will unfold each at their own pace over time.  Also, expect the categories to evolve and expand.  These approaches are very natural to the blog approach.

Enjoy yourself!  And, please express in return.

    Back at ya, Jean!

  3. This is the most complete, categorized site ever. It’s like an archeological dig. The more you dig, the more you discover.

bikehikebabe, thank you for that compliment! It’s a little like the Seinfeld show was, “A show about nothing.” This blog surprises me as much as anyone. I let the muse – and good friends like you have become – lead me. What is scary is that this thing is only two months old. What will it be like in 5 years?? Yow!

Thanks for tossing in that wringer story. Remember when the term was popular “They really put me through the wringer!” Well, your brother and Viki seem to have taken it literally!

And, Viki, thanks for helping people figure out who is who here! It’s hard to follow our family without a program. :-)

My goodness Conrad, you have a lot to say! Was your little head ready to explod before you started this blog? So entertaining and I haven’t navigated through very much of it yet.
